We decided to try one of the restaurant’s signature dishes – the crispy duck. The dish was prepared quickly and tasted absolutely delicious.

The duck was perfectly crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside, served with a side of steamed rice, vegetables, sambal, and a few other accompaniments. It was a delightful balance of textures and flavors that truly represents the best of Indonesian cuisine.

The sate lilit was another standout. It was well-seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. This dish is perfect for those who love the rich, aromatic taste of Balinese satay.

The iced tea was refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal. It was sweet but not overpowering, making it an excellent choice for a hot day in Bali.

Pros:

  • Delicious, Authentic Food: The crispy duck and sate lilit were the highlights, perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
  • Great Ambiance: The view of the rice fields and the relaxed setting make it an ideal place to enjoy a meal, especially for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Bali’s tourist areas.
  • Fast Service: The food arrived quickly, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the meal.
  • Comfortable Seating: The large tables and soft seating enhance the overall dining experience.

Cons:

  • Pricing: For some, the pricing may be on the higher end compared to other local restaurants, but the quality of the food and the atmosphere justify it.
  • Limited Vegetarian Options: While there are a few vegetarian choices, the menu is primarily centered around duck and other meats, which might limit options for vegetarian diners.

Final Verdict

Bebek Bengil offers a wonderful blend of traditional Balinese cuisine and beautiful ambiance, making it a must-try for anyone visiting Bali. Whether you're a local or a tourist, the food, service, and setting combine to create an enjoyable dining experience.

While the prices might be slightly higher than average, the overall experience makes it worth the visit. We were very pleased with our meal and will definitely return in the future!
